# Launch checklist — Fintech

The launch checklist with the rows a regulated financial product needs before a campaign starts: every claim cleared and referenced, the disclosure present in the ad and on the page, the delivery restricted to authorised markets, and the landing page carrying the current terms.

Everything else is the general checklist, unchanged. One row per check, with an owner by name, a due date relative to the start, an honest blocking flag, a verification method and evidence kept.

## How to use it

1. Copy this file, or the CSV version if you would rather work in a sheet.
2. Delete the rows that do not apply to this launch rather than marking them as not applicable.
3. Give every row an owner by name, and a due date relative to the start.
4. Be honest about which rows block, and keep that list short enough to mean something.
5. Write how to verify before the week of the launch, while there is time to think.
6. Keep the evidence, not just the tick.
7. After the launch, add the rows you wished you had had.

## The columns

**Area** (Text). Which part of the launch this belongs to: approvals, disclosures, market delivery, landing pages, tracking, access. The first four are the reason this list exists and they are checked in that order.

**Check** (Text). The thing to confirm, written as something a person can do and answer: list every live ad with its review reference and check each against the review record and its date.

**Why it matters** (Text). What goes wrong if it is missed: creative that ran before it was cleared, which is the one failure on this list that pausing the campaign does not undo.

**Applies to** (Text). Which campaigns this covers: every campaign for this product in this market, the retargeting set separately, the search campaigns where the disclosure sits on the page rather than in the ad.

**Owner** (Text). The person who does this check, by name, and for anything touching wording or disclosure that is the reviewer rather than the marketer.

**Due** (Text). How long before the start this is due. Approvals belong a week out because the review has a queue; the rendered-disclosure check belongs two days before, once the ads are built.

**Blocking** (Text). Whether the launch may proceed without it. Approvals, disclosures and market settings block without exception; a second creative size does not. The short blocking list is what makes it hold.

**How to verify** (Text). The specific action: open the live preview on each placement and the landing page on a phone, following the real ad link, and confirm the disclosure is present and readable.

**Evidence** (Text). What is kept, and here the evidence is the record rather than a formality: the ad-and-reference list with the reviewer's confirmation, screenshots of each rendered placement, the delivery settings.

**Status** (Text). Not started, done, or blocked. Blocked usually means the review has not come back, and the honest response is to hold the launch rather than to start on the old creative.

**Verified by** (Text). Who countersigned it, which for every blocking row is somebody other than the owner. Every blocking row here is worth a second pair of eyes, and the reviewer's name on the approvals row is not optional.

**Verified on** (Date (YYYY-MM-DD)). The day it was confirmed. A delayed launch inherits checks describing a world before the last rate change, so any blocking row older than a week is reset rather than carried forward.

**Notes** (Text). What the next person needs: the setting that holds the market restriction, the placement that truncates a disclosure, the review turnaround to plan around, the claim that was narrowed.

## The launch checklist

| Area | Check | Why it matters | Applies to | Owner | Due | Blocking | How to verify | Evidence | Status | Verified by | Verified on | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |

## Before you commit it

- Every row has an owner by name and a due date relative to the start.
- Every live ad's claim appears in a current review, by reference.
- The disclosure is present where the review said it has to be.
- Delivery is restricted to markets the product is authorised in.
- The landing page states the current rate, fee and terms.
- Retargeting audiences have their own cleared creative.
- Every completed row has evidence attached, not only a status.
